Chemicals are extremely dangerous for infants and mothers, such as carbon monoxide and nicotine are poisons that move through the bloodstream and harm your baby grow. Your baby is contained in the smoke-filled uterus and this reduces the flow of oxygen to your baby. Effect of smoking during pregnancy is too risky at best. Nicotine can cause the baby’s heart rate increases, and can decrease your baby’s supply of nutrients because of increased blood pressure and narrowing of blood vessels.
