Early Signs Of Pregnancy

earlysignsofpregnancy

If your menstrual cycle is regular, the first telltale sign is, of course, the absence of rules. Even if you only have five to ten days late, some signs are rather unusual characteristics. They occur with varying intensity. Usually the morning upon awakening, you are “smeared”, unable to eat for breakfast. You feel little twinges in the abdomen, as if you have your period. The urge to urinate more often, your breasts are painful (especially on the sides), they are
harder and slightly larger. The areola surrounding the nipple is darker and dotted with small tubercles. Finally, you have plenty of time sleepiness.

Of course, these signs alone do not constitute a real certainty of pregnancy. From the earliest days late, your gynecologist will see in the vaginal examination, the uterus has already changed its consistency (it is a bit softer) and it took a bit of volume, especially if it is not your first baby. He also noted the lilac specific cervix. (more…)

Health Care Information – Prenatal Care

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Other names: Care during pregnancy
Prenatal care is more than just health care during pregnancy. It is possible that your health care provider talk with you about many issues, such as nutrition and physical activity, what to expect during the birth process and basic skills for newborn care.

The doctor or midwife will give you a calendar with the schedule of your prenatal visits. Surely you will see your health care provider more frequently as you near your due date. A typical scheme includes visiting your doctor or midwife:
* About once a month during the first six months of pregnancy
* Every two weeks during the seventh and eighth month of pregnancy
* Weekly for the ninth month of pregnancy

If you are over 35 or your pregnancy is high risk because you have certain health problems, like diabetes or hypertension, your doctor or midwife will probably want to see you more often.
